Babysitter Day Care
Babysitter day care services include care of the children during the day by a person other than the child's parents or legal guardians.
The work done by day care professionals is the ongoing care during specific periods, usually during the parents' time at work. Sometimes, day care can include forms of education, child development, discipline, and even preschool. Usually, day care is done at the facilities of the day care providers, and if the child care is done in the child's own home, the work is usually done by a nanny or au pair. The origins of day care for children go as far back to history as France in 1840, and the Société des Crèches was recognized by the French government in 1869. The popularity of putting children to day care varies, as do the costs of doing so. Australia, for example, has a large child care industry, aided by the Australian government's childcare subsidy that has allowed the creation of a large private-sector industry. Also, Canada offers both private and subsidized daycares, but these are not very popular. Among two parent families with at least one working parent, 62% of parents handle the childcare themselves, 32% have other in-home care (nannies, relatives, neighbours or friends) and only 6.5% use a formal day care center.
