Irish Baby Names More Popular Than Ever
There's something of an Irish boom in giving babies Irish baby names right now in the U.S.
Perhaps the most popular Irish name on the list, Aiden, has been increasing in popularity as some celebrities, including Lou Rawls (musician), Tracey Gold (actress), and Scott Hamilton (skater) chose to name to their sons Aiden.
Also, the Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling named her baby girl Mackenzie, which in the U.S. is considered an Irish baby girl name.
Another reason of why people name their babies with Irish names, is that many with Irish heritage in the U.S. are looking back to their roots when naming their baby.
