Toddler Bed Plan
A toddler bed plan is a great way for do-it-yourself people to make just the right kind of beds for their children. However, most of the ready-made plans on the web aren't designed for toddlers, and instead there's mostly plans for cribs.
These designs are transformable, with some of the designs offering easy transitions from a crib to a toddler bed, and then to a full sized child's bed. This way, the baby can grow up in a familiar bed throughout the early years, and you'll save some money too.
Transitional 3-in-1 beds are available at least from Rockler.com, the woodworking superstore.
Toddler Bed Plan Resources
In addition to the transitional beds, there are children's beds that suit even toddlers, with some requiring some modifications to make them more safe for the toddler to sleep in.
For example, there are bed plans with tractor, race car, and other popular bed plan designs for small children. As safety is a primary concern, you should judge yourself, whether the toddler is ready to sleep in such a bed.
You can also take ideas from woodworking books on the subject, available from major bookstores in the net. In addition, some stores will make plans on request to your baby's measurements.
